1/31/10 Starting off the new year right, I have added two new pieces to the “Works” page.  Unstrung is an interactive electronic piece composed in Max/MSP for Rock Band guitar controller.  This was premiered in December of last year by me in a small recital of projects from a music technology course taught by Dr. Elainie Lillios.  The other work was just posted today.  It is called Reed Song, and it was composed for a program of 60 second works being put on by Praecepta, the local student chapter of Society of Composers, Inc. at BGSU.  This program will be on February 11, 2010 in Bryan Recital Hall in the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts along with approximately 40 other one-minute works, including  a couple others composed by me.  I will post recordings as soon as they become available.

12/14/09 Five Miniatures (2008) for flute, Bb clarinet, bassoon and viola received its full premiere on Sunday, December 6 as part of the last BGSU Student Composers Forum of the Fall 2009 semester.  I want to thank Kristopher Martenn, Amanda Van Wechel, Cassandra Seymour, and Mihai Razvan Berindean for their hard work in giving this piece its first full performance.  I’d also like to thank Chin Ting Chan for stepping in to conduct at the last moment.  I look forward to posting the recording of this wonderful performance as soon as it becomes available.

11/16/09 My newest piece, Skylines, received its premiere yesterday afternoon along with pieces by my colleagues Robert Hage and Andrew Martin Smith. This performance took a lot of work from all three of us, as well as from our wonderful conductors, Conrad Chu and Katherine Kilburn. With their help we were able to gather 33 talented student musicians willing to volunteer their time to rehearse and perform our music. This was a one-of-a-kind performance, and I encourage everyone to listen to the recording here

7/11/09 In response to a request made yesterday, I have added performance credits to all pages that contain recordings (except for electronic pieces or in cases where lists of performers were not readily available). I request that in the future, all concerns as to the content (or lack of content) on this website please be sent to the contact e-mail provided and not through other avenues.

6/7/09 With the first year of my graduate career behind me, I’ve started a series of major updates to the website. In the coming days I will be uploading pages for several new works that have been composed in the past year, including one ensemble piece, one improv piece, three electronic works, and one multimedia work. In addition I’ve revised my biography and will soon be posting an updated resume. I will soon be removing copies of my scores from my media profiles, so anybody wishing to have a copy of my scores will need to contact me via the e-mail address on my contact page.

2/28/09 This site is in need of an update, which I’ll attempt to do over my spring break two weeks from now. In the past six months, I have written one quartet for flute, clarinet, bassoon, and viola, of which one movement has been performed, and two electroacoustic pieces. I am currently working on a piece for chamber orchestra tentatively titled “Imaginary Skylines”. This will likely not be completed until mid to late summer, but I am working with some other composers and conductors at BGSU to have it performed in the fall of this year. I’ll post updates as these plans materialize.

8/24/08 This week I’ll be starting my graduate school career at Bowling Green State University. I will hopefully have several new pieces to add to this website in the coming months. I have attempted to fix all the links on this site, but if I have missed any, please send me an e-mail and let me know. I have also added the recordings from my senior recital on the “Performances” portion of this site.
